Lessons & Training
Lessons are offered in the English disciplines. We welcome a wide range of experiences and aspirations. We look forward to hearing about your experience and goals- come prepared to learn!
To participate in Semi-Private lessons, students must be able to catch, tack up, untack, walk and trot independently and navigate ground poles and cones at the walk and trot.
Please be aware that in order to jump during lessons, students riding lesson horses must be in weekly lessons (approximately). This policy is for the safety of our riders and the well-being of our lesson horses.
Trainer Sarah Lacy of Apollo Equestrian offers a variety of training services. Learn about our Training Program featuring everything from A La Carte training and exercise rides and groundwork to partial training and custom training packages.
Owners are welcome to be as involved as they wish in developing their horses. Sarah is always happy to discuss progress and show off the horse’s work to the people who entrust their horses to our care- and she is proud to do so! However, if the client is not present for the training session, we will make sure your horse is safely and correctly groomed, tacked up, and properly cooled down, untacked, and groomed post-workout. The well-being of every horse is Sarah’s priority. When it comes to horse care, Apollo Equestrian seeks to exceed expectations and impress everyone.
Sarah has experience working with a variety of horses including:
- Green horses
- Off the track thoroughbreds
- Horses being started over fences
- Horses that are changing disciplines
- Horses refining their skills in the English disciplines
- Horses returning to work, needing a tune-up or needing to improve fitness
- Competing show horses ready to excel in the show ring!
